"Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve."

Mary Kay Ash

Frustrated with the performance of your current resume?

Have you applied for jobs that you're more than qualified for, but your phone is not ringing?  Are other candidates getting the calls, landing the job and earning promotions while you're continually overlooked?

Unfortunately, this is a typical dilemma that most job seekers face - it's frustrating, stressful and downright nerve-racking.

Good opportunities are too far and few between to waste time marketing yourself with a lackluster resume.  You can rise above the competition to secure the job of your dreams.  There is a better way.

What can you do to get your resume to stand out?

The sad truth is the candidates that get the calls are not necessarily the best qualified - they're the best communicators!  They know a resume is not just a laundry list of jobs, responsibilities and tasks - it's a personal marketing tool.

Well-written resumes and cover letters will:

• Boost your visibility,
• Improve your perceived value,
• Demonstrate what you can do for a new employer,
• Accelerate your climb up the corporate ladder,
• Shorten your unemployment time and
• Lay the groundwork for increased compensation.

Makeover your resume and land your dream job!

Resume writing experts agree that the words, format and writing style used on your resume can make or break its success.

The problem - most resume experts don't agree on which words, format and writing style are the best and there are literally hundreds of resume writing styles, formats and strategies available today.

Resume Sample #2

Which sample resume grabs your attention?

Which resume best communicates the value, experience and success John Smith can offer a new employer?

Resume sample #1 is more responsibility driven and, although it does communicate what John has been doing, it significantly under-markets his ability to contribute to the revenue and profitability of an organization.  His achievements are basically nonexistent.

Resume sample #2 clearly places John's accomplishments front and center, allowing potential employers, who dedicate only 30 to 40 seconds per draft, to easily identify what contributions John can make to the company.

More importantly, resume sample #2 talks to John's target audience.  It hits a chord by saying, "Hey, this guy can generate profitable results!"  It talks directly to hiring executives, in their own language - the language of dollars and cents.  These results make hiring executives sit up and take notice.

Can you create this type of resume?

Yes, given you have the time, writing skills and objectivity regarding yourself and your career.

If the answer is no - we need to talk.

Janice's resume brings in three times the calls that my previous resume secured in cases where I sent it out to specific opportunities.  My old resume got no interest on online posts.  I am now getting at least one "reach" a day.
